the concept of symbiosis in art
· Living together and making companionship to get benefit or to give only or mutual exchange interest in each other. This is the essence of the symbiosis.This concept was developed by a German botanist Dr.Anton De Bary in 1866 and it is being used in the books of botany and zoology. A Japanese architect Dr. Kisho Kurokawa has used the term Symbiosis as philosophy in his book Intercultural Architecture that was published in 1991. He has opened the door for writers, poets, artists and all other thinkers who are affiliated with the human societies to think and work on this subject.
A man with society and society with environments, cultures, nations and nature, they are all in process of symbiosis. An artist is in symbiotic relationship with his subject of art.. In the process of creating his art whatever subject he is studying and working on he is in constant interaction with it. He gives from his inner world to it as well as he takes from it, in a two-way stream of loving relationship. Symbiosis of this sort includes elements of opposition and competition. Individually an artist continuously tries to meet growing requirements of his personality, through his imagination and introspective views. His art helps him to reunite himself in the ground of his essential being. Thus the art is a creative human activity aimed at the expression and the transmission of some thoughts, through the use of talent, imagination and inspiration. An artist with the symbiosis of all these available elements develops, creates the symbiosis of artwork. Some of the elements available consist of; knowledge, medium, techniques, symbols, themes and intuition for thinking which are all symbionts and makes his way being itself which is in constant interaction with his external world and develop the "Symbiosis of Art Works".
An artist is a part of the society, which is a symbiont of the whole world, the world that is already in symbiosis process. Whatever an artist is creating it is a symbiosis in art and that art is making him the member of the global world which is a symbiosis of his activities.
In journey of lines many Lines-shapes are grouped by magical associations of continuous lines, which have their own colors and sounds. These lines attract, repel and 'burn' one an other, and their association composes a new kind of poetic unity depicting a new symbiosis of ancient and modern, tradition and originality. Eastern and Western characteristics. When we look with naked eyes at the drawings we find new unique things disclosing new horizons of thought. Artist sees world through his created patterns. He has potrayed the situation of ancient and modern cities, combing myths and actualities, dreams and realities and imagination and existence. There are exploration of new dimensions of living world in the perspective of birth and death, love and hatred, honor and disgrace, white and black, surrealism and realism, first world and the third world, earth and sky and men and women etc. Journey of Lines or line expressions transform concrete into abstract and abstract into concrete. Here the boundaries of abstraction and concreteness meet each other. Artist gathers many expressions in one place. This work is a symbiosis of expressions, symbiosis of experiences, symbiosis of symbols and signs. A new dimension of symbiosis in Art.
